Welcome to the 2005 SMAANZ Conference

Friday 25th November – Saturday 26th November 2005

Rydges Lakeside, Canberra.

The 2005 SMAANZ conference is unique as it will be jointly hosted by the University of Canberra and Sport and Recreation ACT.

It is intended the first day of the conference be dedicated to research that provides sports managers with innovative strategies to develop their sport.

In keeping with the principle aim of SMAANZ which is “to communicate results from research to the broader sport management community” the challenge to presenters on day 1 is “to provide practical strategies sports managers can use to further develop the business of sport”.

The Academic Program will take place on day 2 and will focus on papers of a more theoretical nature.

IMPORTANT NOTICE  Conference organisers' have extended the 'due date' for acceptance of abstracts to the 29th July, 2005.   Abstracts, should be one page in length and sent to Dr. Daryl Adair at  daryl.adair@canberra.edu.au
